What we did that day.....
As promised, I told my son that he would be bathing at Splash Island, and so he did. We left home at 0745 hours, then by 830 hours, we were at Splash Island. By 1030 hours, we bought grilled squid, chicken bbq, siopao, siomai, nachos, and coke. Ate them all... :) We left Splash Island at around 1130 hours then headed to Tagaytay, then to Calatagan. We never planned staying at Calatagan overnight, we just headed south to do some roadtrip. :) And of course to see the lighthouse, and the beach. Traffic was not so bad that day at Tagaytay.... then we headed down to Calatagan. We wanted to have some pics at Cape Santiago Lighthouse, a kind of picture collection of lighthouses, we already have a picture at Malabrigo lighthouse in Lobo. :)
The green lane from the road to the lighthouse was not so easy to find, it was small, and we didn't see a sign. But we managed to find the lighthouse :) We took some pics. I climbed the stairs to the tower with lights to have a better view of the sea.
We were hungry by the time we were about to leave, so we decided to pass by STILTS beach resort to have some food and check out the place. We ordered a seafood platter (570 pesos). It had a 1 piece crab, 1 slice tanigue fish, 1 piece medium sized squid, 5 pcs medium sized shimps (prawn). Had some coke and ice cream. BTW, the STILTS is nice, and quiet. There are cottages above the sea (i don't know what they call that kind of cottages). :) check out my panoramio (google carl26feb). We saw people sea kayaking, etc. I think it is a nice place to unwind. Then we headed back to Manila. It was a day filled with good things.
